A fervent admirer of Caravaggio, C215 wants to put poetry and emotion in the heart disembodied cities. His anonymous faces with expressive features reflect his need to regain some humanity.
“My works put invisible among the celebrities. Through these faces, I wish that passersby are confronted with their own humanity. ”
“The art of C215 is to capture light, depth and humanity. It is very difficult to
perform stencil – his favorite medium – and rarely successful. This technique has indeed tend to flatten images and make them static. In contrast, C215 has
developed a style of illustration and cutting that reveals the underlying personality of its subjects, giving them an impressionistic lighting. Although his technique is meticulous, in the most refined sense, the art of C215 transcends pure form and seems touch the essence of the human soul. It’s always a great joy for me to cross C215 works in the street. ”
